Scott Bourne posted a great article over on This Week in Photography entitled Destroying Copyright Myths, and it is well worth the couple of minutes that it takes to read. It should help dispel any of the ideas that some people have that “if it is posted on the internet, it is free” (yes, that is pretty much a direct quote from some idiot that I know).
Currently, I still have a couple of screen shots of people who have used photos that I have taken on their web pages (just because it is “hidden” now does not mean that I don’t know they are there), so let the article above be kind of a warning. I will file Copyright infringement charges if needed and I will pursue prosecution to the full extent of the law if need be.
